Even split or by value?

An even split is simplest, and it's fine when the items are worth about the same. Splitting by expected sale price is more accurate for mixed lots: a $45 bowl set carries more of the cost than an $8 utensil bundle, so a cheap item doesn't look like a loss and an expensive one doesn't look like pure profit.

Using the numbers

Copy the shares and paste them into your inventory sheet as each item's cost. When an item sells, its profit is the sale minus fees, shipping, and its share. The fee comparison does that part.

Items you keep, donate, or throw out still used part of the lot's cost. Leave them in the list so the shares on everything else stay honest.
